I’m trying to buy an Alienware m11x laptop but I have bad credit so I can’t use a Dell Preferred Account and pay monthly on it. Is there any other way to pay monthly wit no credit check?

Yes.

Pay yourself a logical payment every month into a separate bank account. Wait until you have enough saved to purchase the laptop.

Buy the thing with cash.

If you think about it, there’s probably really no reason why you absolutely need the computer ‘right now’.

I’m going to try to save up some money for a laptop, but I’m in high school and I don’t have a job- therefore I don’t have a lot of extra money to spend on one.

What brand / model laptop would you recommend? I don’t like apples much, but I kind of want an apple laptop to use garage band… but they are really expensive too =( so i don’t know…

credit cards are baaad news.

if you get one with a limit of $ 1500, and you spend $ 1000, saying the card has an interest rate of 14%, youre monthly payments are going to be over $ 30.

and youll say, $ 30 isnt bad, but if you only pay the minimum, it will take you almost 5 years to pay it off and by that time, you wont even have the computer anymore seeing the lifespan of a laptop is 2.5 years.

save up for one or get a cheap one on ebay

Laptops don’t have standardized parts like desktops. I’ve seen projects for do-it-yourself, open source laptops but I can’t find any right now. The market is pretty small, and you don’t save much money if any, unless you want something custom-configured.

Assuming you have the reset discs or a hidden partition to recover from it does enough to make it very difficult to recover. However it is not impossible for the expert. .What you need is a file deletion programme, in essence all this does is write a random sequence of 1s and 0s to the disc completely eradicating all files. Go to this link where you can get free downloads and more information. . http://www.thefreecountry.com/security/ Then run your recovery and you are good to go.

Please give very detailed advice because I don’t understand what to do, have had the laptop for over a year and am embarassed to tell anyone I don’t know how to get internet on it.
It’s a Hewlitt Packard laptop. I bought it used (but in excellent conditio) and there’s a card sticking out from the side that says D-Link. Whenever I turn it on and click on the internet logo it says no connection.

You really need to get local help. Without knowing how you are trying to connect, it is impossible to tell without being on site.
