Q&A: Victim of identity theft..need advice?

Question by dsd_071055: Victim of identity theft..need advice?
I am a victim of identity theft. Some one got into my apartment stolen my drivers license right out of my purse, went to my bank thru the drive thru window to a teller, withdrew over 400.00 out of my account two weeks ago, the same person tried again today to do the same thing. My bank stopped them from withdrawing any thing out of my account contact me right away to let me know what was going on. I guess they also have the person license plate number. I have already made out a police report, the bank has already contact the police as well. My account was closed the first time this happen reopened with a new account number. I was lucky this time because i put a password on my account, this person did not get into my account ,but they still got hold of my new account number that was asigned to me after my first account was close. I have also put fraud alerts on all of my credit reports and passowrds on all of my accounts. Well I just looked at my credit report today and found about 10 different thing that are not mine, one alone is over 12,000. I’m not sure who is doing this but I’m scared that this person knows where i live and might even be watching my every move. I’m scared and don’t know what to do. I asked my landlord if he had another place i could rent because I don’t feel safe here any longer. Was lucky that he does, even willing to wave the depoist so i can move in right away. I’m really scard of what this person might do next. i found out that they already know my ssn and date of birth…I really could use some advice as to how to deal with or handle all of this.
