Question by Eureka: Do i need to have credit history to finance a laptop?
I want to get a laptop for school, im not too picky and will probably get something pricey which is ok with me. But i wanted to know if i could kill 2 birds with one stone and finance the laptop to establish some credit history? Does anyone know where i can maybe pay for half of the laptop up front and then finance the rest, and could i do that without credit history? i have enough money to pay cash i just dont want to spend it all at once, in case of emergencies. thanks!

Best bet is to try Best Buy if you have one near you. Go in and sign up for a Best Buy card and see if you get approved. Easiest place to do it and the worst they can say is no.
