I have a question,For my system I have a receiver then 2 monitors and a sub but they connect to the receiver not the pc and the receiver goes to the pc via 3.5mm jack will I get any benefit from a sound card? the model I have is the Sony MHC EC909ip
Still I dont think people want Covers because of that…
where is the 3d quad cards
They still make audigys? geez
I think its funny he is saying the covers are needed because people like them to look cool. WRONG. The “covers” are EMI shields to help produce better sound quality with less interference.
gold plating doesnt give you better fidelity. gold doesn’t corrode like coppor does thats way manufactures use it. Its a big fat myth……………….
Cool, thanks again…
Our?
i havent used a creative product in probably 10+ years. i think maudio makes more purpose-built products that arent over-hyped like creative. i wont say creative is a bad company though.
haha thats funny, cant believe the guy considers logitech as a high-end speaker company. i better sell my martin logan and monoblock amp setup for this logitech 5.1 setup!
well there is your problem. A pc-surround system is not something to benchmark a soundcard with. That Logitech system is sattelite based set using the “loads of bass and volume” approach (probably what you like right?). Those sets use pretty cheap speakercones and electronics. Try again with fullrange speakers using a decent amplifier and you’ll see what I mean. Audiophiles will not settle for a sattelite based surround system.
always glad to help =)
Paul quit giving away all my gaming secrets! I prefer people calling me a hacker when i hear them miss and i can accurately determine where they are.
anyone who has a sound card that likes alot of music would you recommend a sound card like do you notice that much of a difference yourself?(I’m quite picky about sound)
Discrete when talking about computer hardware means individual.
i have logitech x-540 badass speakers
Creative Sucks. They still do not have 100% working drivers for Windows 7 64 bit and the Audigy 2 ZS. Why would I buy their junk if they can not support it?
It’s odd how they call these kinds of cards “discrete” when in fact they are blatant and huge compared to the alternatives that are integrated into the mobo. They’re not discrete at all if you ask me, lol.
im a gamer who plays BF3 and RIFT! what should i get?
Hi Paul,
On newegg review, so many don’t like this product.
Is it really worth it to purchase these expensive card?
good review and video but creative … i don’t know…
how much of a difference is there?
Hi Paul, i have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card.
Where does that put my card in comparison between the one you have today?
next to the top or the cheapest one???
Thanks.
Thanks so much man!!!! I always connect CD, game-gear, PSP, & MP3 to a Home Theater system by cutting afew cables & joy them togetter to make sound better… I never had bose & hope I will some day if not Sony Home Theater system will do…
WoW does anybody really use creative sound cards anymore? i mean most games now support Dolby digital and HD sound witch you can get from Geforce cards now. not to mention HD sound can only pass threw HDMI. the band width on optical (toss-link) and the rca plugs is simply not enough for HD sound. and yes most on-board sound now supports HD. as a matter of fact my gtx 470′s HD sound is way better than my XFI is. and i had to PAY EXTRA for my XFI’s DTS sound. LoL

This an easy, simple and safe way to purchase a product.
