Does anyone know the mechanics of how one might make money by setting up his or her own blog? Do you attract advertisers? How do you set up a fee, if that is what you do? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

forget about ads for now. u won’t make any $ from ads unless u have lots of visitors. first u should find a way to attract lots of visitors, by having an interesting site.
