www.personalcreditservices.com is a scam! I read their article about them helping you find a personal loan regardless of your credit! All you needed to do was pay their referral fee and they would send your information to lenders and you can get the money you ask for in about 2 days! The higher the amount you wanted the higher the fee. I paid $ 175 for $ 10, 000 and found out YOU have to call at least 4 lenders and if they all deny you you have to send in the denial letter to them and you will get a prorated refund! I have went to BBB and filed a complaint and am fixing to go to Channel 9 on this company. They have really mislead everyone. BBB has even bad reports on this company that I failed to check before buying their fee!!!! Anyone with advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If they really scammed you, you are out of luck. Keep trying, be persistent. Call your State Attorney General.

Problem 1 is that you got scammed.
Problem 2 is that in order to get money back, you have to know where they are. Your state Court system probably has a “small claims court”, where you can sue for amounts of money like $ 175, without hiring a lawyer and paying the lawyer $ 175 an hour. So it won’t cost big money to recover. But courts have this concept they call “jurisdiction”. The person or company you sue has to do something to give the court power over him / it, which leads to:
Problem 3 is that the “dot-com” could be anywhere. If their website says where they are, and it they are in your State, you are lucky. If they are not in your State, it would be highly inconvenient to travel to the State they are in, and to file a small claims court action there. Which leads to:
Problem 4 is that they scammed you out of little enough money, that if the company isn’t in your State, it’s too expensive to get it back.
You are already on the right track, going to the local News. The BBB won’t help, because they are set up to do two things: alert people to non-BBB members who are scamming you, and encouraging BBB members to resolve complaints, so that there aren’t complaints against BBB members.
So if the company isn’t located in your State, then get on the “net” and find out if the State attorney general office has a consumer fraud division, and start filing and following up on complaints. They have the most power, and sometimes they can get your money back, because they can sometimes file suit to have a company stop doing business in a State. Then the company will occasionally pay off, to avoid being barred from doing business.
So keep after the TV station, contact the attorney general, and see if there is some other governmental agency with power to threaten the company.
